Carols for Quire from the Old & New Worlds (5th Annual)

The tradition continues! For its fifth annual presentation of Carols for Quire from the Old & New Worlds, Quire Cleveland offers a unique combination of new and old: dazzling modern settings of holiday choral music, each paired with an early setting of the same lyric. Hear how composers from different eras were inspired by the same sentiments, while you enjoy seasonal choral music at its best.

The program features Benjamin Britten & his 15th-century anonymous compatriot, Gustav Holst & Franz Gruber, Eric Whitacre & Thomas Tallis — each pair of composers illustrating different interpretations of the same/similar text.

Under the direction of Ross W. Duffin, Quire Cleveland makes the spectacular architecture of Trinity Cathedral resonate from the rafters with glorious choral song that is entertaining & accessible to all.

Everyone is welcome. These glorious sounds are guaranteed to make your holiday season more harmonious!
